DOCUMENTARY PHOTOGRAPHY
This is a concept photoshoot aims to shift the narrative around African women, celebrating the often-overlooked 'girlhood' within the women we know and love as our mothers. We're portraying the reality that these women, often seen as superheroes managing multiple responsibilities, still possess the youthful joy, vulnerability, and growth of their younger selves.
The images capture the essence of these women in beautiful African attire, playfully engaging in informal jobs like building or street vending, highlighting the idea that even in their accomplished roles, they hold onto the spirit of childhood. It's about recognizing the inherent youthfulness, emotional depth, and joy in achievement that lies beyond the 'superwoman' facade.

We all have thoughts and opinions about the world around us, some are great perspective altering thoughts, others are misguided, biased thoughts. But I believe the best way to learn from others and share your perspectives is to just say what you think with an openness to correction. That is why I share my thoughts and opinions here, for you to agree and/or disagree with me.
